DiP 2.5kg Coffee Roaster

This roaster can roast from 500gm up to 2.5kg, but I prefer to put in up to 2.2kg. This is an electric roaster, running on single phase power (20amp plug). Coffee is roasted via two electric elements and the roaster fan. There is an exhaust probe that gives a reading of the exhaust temperature and a baffle lever which controls airflow. It has an internal chaff collector, and can roast and cool coffee at the same time.

At the back of the roaster is the exhaust pipe and above that is a piece of white pipe that has been moulded on to the exhaust pipe.

This item is pick up only, it weights 71kg. Dimensions = 1000W X 450D X 1020H. These roasters now retail for about $25,000, last I saw advertised.

This roaster has been very well maintained and is in good working order. The reason for sale is that I have closed my part-time roasting business.


BONUS item – custom made cooling tray. Included in the price you will also get a separate cooling tray which I had custom made for me. You will be able to cool the roasted coffee much faster (thus providing much better control over the roast and flavour characteristics of the coffee). The cooling tray consists of a sturdy mesh screen which sits in a wooden frame that houses a fan (runs on standard power point). Message me if you want any more info on this item.
